I'm here to show you three different kinds of
00:03
exfoliation and masks that I've learned from,
00:05
well, my mom, my grandmother and just women in India
00:10
who use natural products.
00:12
All right, so we're gonna do a lip scrub.
00:14
As you can tell my lips are
00:15
one of my more prominent features.
00:18
You take a little sea salt.
00:19
Depending on the size of your lips,
00:21
you can decide how much to put.
00:24
100% pure vegetable glycerin,
00:26
and then a little bit of rose water
00:27
so it's gentle on your mouth.
00:36
So this is a body scrub.
00:38
It's an exfoliator, hydrator,
00:40
it moisturizes and heals,
00:42
but please try it on your hand
00:44
to see if you're allergic or not.
00:47
One cup of gram flour.
00:51
Okay, that should be one cup.
00:52
Then, yogurt, not flavored, plain.
00:59
Depends on the proportions, like that much.
01:02
Mix it into a paste, a little bit of lemon.
01:05
If your paste is as bad as mine, which mine is,
01:08
you add a little milk to it.
01:10
That's what that looks like now.
01:13
Magic ingredients.
01:15
Some sandalwood powder in there.
01:17
My best and most favorite ingredient,
01:19
which works for everything, is turmeric.
01:23
It gives it love.
01:24
It might give you a little bit of a yellowish hue,
01:27
so be careful about how much you put in.
01:31
And you put it on on your entire body
01:35
and just hang out a little bit, let it dry.
01:38
And if you have oily skin,
01:40
then maybe use like skim milk and like,
01:42
low-fat yogurt or no fat yogurt.
01:45
I think it's almost dry.
01:46
So the idea of it is to scrub it off a lot, you see,
01:49
so it literally like exfoliates,
01:51
and then you shower and you get rid of
01:54
whatever excess is on your hand
01:57
and you'll see a difference.
02:00
Now, this is a scalp treatment.
02:01
It is usually for, like if you have a dry scalp,
02:05
if you have dandruff.
02:07
So you start with full-fat yogurt.
02:09
The yogurt helps hydrate the scalp and cool it down.
02:14
Me hungry.
02:17
A teaspoon of honey.
02:19
My secret ingredient.
02:21
It's an egg.
02:23
Apparently they're really good for your hair.
02:25
I know.
02:27
You keep it for 30 minutes and you wash it off with like,
02:29
baby shampoo or just like warm water.
02:32
That's what the consistency should look like.
02:35
Wow, that was a lot of teaching.
02:37
I don't think I've taught so much in a really long time
02:39
and I hope this works for you guys
02:40
'cause it really does work for me.
02:41
This has been taught to us by our moms and our grandmoms
02:44
and they're little secrets that I wanted to share with you.
