Hey guys! It's Karen.
00:06
I'm here at The Bowery Hotel
00:08
and I'm going to be showing you guys
00:10
my pre-night out ritual,
00:12
which definitely involves me taking a nice long bath.
00:15
So I'll see you in a bit.
00:17
Hi!
00:18
Now, I'm going to need some makeup
00:21
because these dark eyes need some love.
00:22
Terry.
00:24
Her foundation is so pale,
00:27
it's very hard for pale girls, I've got to say.
00:32
I always start with like a very light brown,
00:36
taupe-y kind of base.
00:40
There's a legendary thing that Bette Davis said,
00:42
that redheads should never wear black mascara
00:45
because we'll look like harlots.
00:51
I always use an ashier color, not a red.
00:57
This is an emerald green eyeliner,
01:00
and like with the brown mascara
01:01
it just makes your eyes pop, they make your eyes bluer.
01:07
I fix my makeup with my fingers.
01:09
I just think it looks better smudged.
01:11
I always like to put lip balm on before I do lips,
01:14
because again, I'm into things smudged.
01:17
I'm not into a perfect lip line.
01:19
Like blot it down with a tissue first.
01:22
And then I put some on in the middle,
01:24
I look like a clown.
01:25
And now I'm done - just kidding!
01:28
And I use my finger just to spread it in,
01:31
so it looks more like a stain.
01:36
(singing) Gucci.
01:38
This is just such a lovely, soft pink.
01:41
This is as much as I'd use.
01:42
And then - oh, god.
01:46
And a little bit there, and a little bit there,
01:48
and a little bit here.
01:57
Adding a little sparkle to the corner of your eyes
02:00
helps kind of widen your eyes, apparently?
02:03
Trusty Francois NARS Powder.
02:05
I feel like I've overdone it with my eyes.
02:07
I'm going to just pass the brush over a few times.
02:11
Ugh.
02:14
This brush is Wet - no, it's called Wet Brush.
02:16
It's the best thing that ever happened to my hair.
02:19
Because regular brushes just make my hair so frizzy.
02:22
This stuff is incredible.
02:24
Orabe has just created incredible products.
02:26
His blow drying spray I swear by.
02:28
But, I could do a few pumps of this
02:32
and I actually mix it with a little Rodin oil.
02:35
And it just kind of tames my frizz.
02:38
I mix products all the time, and make them my own.
02:44
All things Jo Malone, all things Red Roses I'm obsessed.
02:48
This body cream is incredible.
02:51
And then, for a little extra shimmer,
02:53
this French oil, NUXE.
02:57
So I mix this with a little bit
02:58
of really pale Terry foundation,
03:00
and it makes it just sparkly.
03:03
All right, I'll be back.
03:05
Hello!
03:06
I'm ready for my night out.
03:09
All right guys, thank you for watching.
03:11
Good night!
