00:03
Hey guys, I'm Ella Mai and I'm going to tell you
00:05
about my skin care routine and my brief hair
00:08
care routine today.
00:09
So I'll get up in the morning and wash my face.
00:12
[water running]
00:14
And I use lukewarm water so a bit of cold and a bit
00:16
of hot, just so it's not too hot but not too cold
00:19
to get my pores open a little bit.
00:21
Then I use my cleanser, I use Burt's Bees, about this much.
00:26
Scrub it into my hand, all around, and I don't use
00:30
much as you can see because I have sensitive skin,
00:33
I've always had to make sure I don't use anything
00:36
that makes me break out or makes me get rashes or anything,
00:39
so I've kinda had to be into skin care otherwise I'll
00:42
walk around looking like Rudolph the red nosed reindeer.
00:44
So I'll leave it for about two, three minutes, and then
00:48
I'll wash it off, so I'm gonna wash it off.
00:50
And the next step is Jelique rose water balancing
00:54
mist which I love because it's super refreshing so
00:56
especially in the morning, but you don't need to use
00:58
too much.
00:59
Sometimes I spray it into my hand but for the most part
01:00
I'll just spray it on my face like this, so I'll do one,
01:03
two, three, four, five, which I'll show you.
01:07
And then with my hand I just gently dab it in.
01:11
Not rub it so it's still damp a little bit and let it
01:13
air dry so whatever you're doing on your daily routine,
01:16
just like forget about it for three minutes.
01:19
I'm gonna have to let it dry.
01:21
I drink a lot of water, for ages I cut out juice,
01:25
I don't drink any fizzy drinks, other than ginger beer
01:28
which is my weakness but I try and keep it to a minimum.
01:31
You'll always see me with a bottle of water in my hand
01:33
and I think that has a lot to do with having clear skin.
01:37
It's obviously genetics as well, thank you mom, love you.
01:42
This is my favorite, it has a little, what is this called
01:44
I don't even know what this is called, we're gonna go
01:45
with a dripper.
01:46
I drop one, two, three, and I just rub it into my palm,
01:52
and again the same way I was doing with the cleanser,
01:56
I'll just smooth it out, have a spot coming here and it's
01:59
really bothering me, pray for me guys.
02:03
Now onto lips, which is probably my favorite because I think
02:06
my lips are my best feature.
02:09
I literally just use Burt's Bees again, this one is vanilla
02:12
bean which is one of my favorites.
02:14
But I'll always have this in my pocket, you'll never ever
02:17
catch me without this in my pocket.
02:21
That's all you need, you don't need a lot depending
02:23
on the size of your lips.
02:24
I travel so much and being on tour and stuff, you have
02:27
to make sure you keep your head moisturized, especially
02:29
because I have curly hair and curly hair gets drier
02:33
than straight hair because of the way that the oils travel
02:36
down the follicle, I sound like such a professional.
02:40
Once I get out of the shower and my hair is wet I will
02:44
do a little wash and go basically, so take some water,
02:49
spray it so as you can see, get it nice and damp.
02:53
Then I'll take my brush, just brush through it
02:55
really lightly, brush the product through the hair,
02:58
then I'll scrunch it up and separate the curls
03:01
individually, not individually individually, but just
03:06
very simple.
03:08
When I was younger when I was about 16, I would straighten
03:10
my hair a lot and blow dry it a lot and dye it and
03:14
all the stuff that you do when you're trying to be
03:17
experimental, and I feel like it ruined my color pattern
03:19
a little bit.
03:20
So for ages I've kinda just tried to use no heat and let
03:24
it air dry and use just water really, and whatever I can
03:29
that's gonna make my hair not have any damage.
03:31
And the last step, which is my baby hairs.
03:34
Which is my favorite part.
03:36
I'll use this molding paste, looks like this, and I'll
03:40
take the smallest part and then I use this little brush,
03:44
which a lot of people use a toothbrush or anything,
03:46
it's pretty similar but depending.
03:50
I have quite a lot of baby hair so it takes me a little bit.
03:52
Take the brush and kind of go, and there you have it,
03:57
let me do the other side.
03:58
I actually have more baby hair I feel like.
04:01
I don't know if it's true but I feel like on this side.
04:03
So I'll use a little bit more, and do the same thing.
04:07
This molding paste is actually matte, and I prefer to use
04:11
this because I have quite an oily scalp, which is weird
04:13
because I have a sensitive and almost dry skin.
04:17
These baby hairs sit a little different so I'll try
04:19
and match it up, I prefer this side to be honest.
04:24
And tada!
04:27
I will use this, mild moisture, just all over.
04:33
Easy breezy beautiful.
04:37
And now for my finishing touches, my ultimate fave
04:41
Venti, beauty lip balm.
04:46
It's like an everyday simple gloss that's simple
04:49
but effective, oh, just missed my lip.
04:54
And after my lip gloss I'll just put in, hoop earrings
04:57
are my new thing, if you would have asked me like
04:59
six months ago it probably would have been stud earrings,
05:01
but I've been feeling hoop earrings lately.
05:05
And I'm ready for the day!
05:07
That's my daily, very very quick skin care, hair care,
05:10
finishing touches routine and that's it.
05:14
Thank you for watching.
05:15
Take care.
