Hi, I'm Carly, I'm a beauty blogger,
00:02
and I also have Alopecia,
00:03
which means that I lost all my hair when I was 19.
00:06
So, one of my key priorities when I lost my hair
00:08
was finding a way to put my eyebrows back on ASAP.
00:14
My starting point here is a face up here,
00:18
that is clean and powdered.
00:21
This is a kind of brush I use.
00:22
It's a little slanted brush, but to be honest,
00:24
you could use any kind of brush.
00:26
You could even use a Q-tip if you didn't have a brush.
00:28
So, what I'm doing here is,
00:29
I'm taking this little brush, and then I'm dipping it
00:32
in brown powder, and then I'm feathering it on.
00:36
I would only caution against using those really,
00:39
kind of, terra cotta-ry reds,
00:41
unless you're a true redhead.
00:43
Step two is the most important step.
00:45
I'm gonna take my eyebrow pencil,
00:47
and I'm gonna sharpen it to a really vicious point.
00:51
And just a a side note, if you live somewhere really warm,
00:54
and you're finding that you can't sharpen your pencils
00:57
to this nasty point, put them in the fridge,
01:01
and leave them there overnight.
01:03
What I do is, starting from the inside,
01:06
I feather hairs, like that,
01:11
onto my brow, using short, soft strokes.
01:17
And it's always best to start off soft and light,
01:20
because you can build up, but you can't take away.
01:22
And then, I'm, sort of, gonna, do you see there?
01:25
I'm gonna, kind of, cross-hatching there.
01:27
I'm gonna do the other eye, and you can see.
01:30
Starting from the inside,
01:33
feathering on really light strokes,
01:38
to the outwards of the eye.
01:41
And someone really wise once said
01:42
that your eyebrows shouldn't be twins,
01:45
they should be sisters, which totally makes sense,
01:48
so I never worry about my eyebrows looking identical.
01:51
And if you notice any bits where you've gone a little bit
01:53
too far, or you're just not happy with the shape,
01:55
grab a Q-tip, and just smudge away, just...
02:01
So, my very last step is going to be,
02:03
last two steps actually, I should say. (blows)
02:06
I've taken a little bit of translucent powder,
02:08
and I'm gonna pat it on, like that.
02:13
And my very last step is taking some kind of sealer
02:16
or lacquer, there are lots of great ones out there,
02:19
and they will ensure that your brows
02:21
don't get sweated off or smudged off, or rubbed off,
02:24
or anything like that.
02:26
I'm gonna take a little brush,
02:28
not too heavily apply my lacquer,
02:32
and then, let your lacquer set a little bit.
02:35
And if it's a good lacquer,
02:37
it should keep your eyebrows on all day.
02:39
And that's how to create eyebrows using only makeup.
